Each Boot Camp Director, (Jim, Elizabeth, David and Dana) have experienced the pain of divorce. Their own marital failures have bonded them for the purpose of helping people and reviving marriages. Their painful divorces also inspired the creation of The Marriage Boot Camp.

Our leadership team of non-licensed counselors have more than 60 years of combined experience in Seminar Leadership. Our educational backgrounds, previous careers and the long list of hard knocks and failures create a unique, fun and dynamic seminar experience.

Jim Carroll

Jim Carroll

Founder

Jim Carroll is the founder and creator of the Life Enrichment and Marriage Boot Camp ministry. Jim got his start as a trainer with Dr. Phil. From there, he honed his skills and used his natural insight to transform mundane materials into exciting, interactive learning games. Since 1994 Jim has been saving relationships across the country by combining the best of the best in games, drills and exercises along with a heavy dose of boot camp-style tough love to facilitate healing in every participant. Don't try to bluff him; he's also a champion poker player with several national titles to his name.

Jim is also a writer, a business man and a film maker. Jim is the author of "Hollywood Dating Blunders" published by Skyward Publishing; "Angel Vision" and "Cover of Darkness" released by Huntington House Publishing. In 2006, Jim produced the low budget thriller, "Evil Behind You." In addition to his creative endeavors, Jim is the founder and CEO of Champion National Security.

Jim and his wife Elizabeth share a blended family consisting of 2 daughters and 2 sons, and together bring you the finest experience of healing in the nation.

Elizabeth Carroll

Elizabeth Carroll comes to the Life Enrichment Boot Camp with a wealth of experience. With 30 years in the corporate world with Levi Strauss & Co. and a Masters level education in Counseling Psychology from Dominican University in San Francisco; she brings a unique combination of experience in contemporary culture and insight into the psychodynamics of the human mind and relationships.

Elizabeth brings practical experience in teaching, public speaking, corporate training, and counseling. Her counseling experience includes individuals, couples, and adolescents. She is proficient in gestalt, art therapy, and object relations therapy.

Elizabeth's heart for service has found expression as a church lay-counselor, teacher, small group leader, and worship team member. Elizabeth's greatest joy comes from her family; being wife to Jim Carroll and mother to daughters Olivia and Ilsa, step-mother to Jason and Jonny, and grandmother to Jude.

David Bishop

David Bishop is the Program Manager and Director of the Marriage Boot Camp and has a gift for speaking, motivating and counseling. His insight helped perfect this life-changing seminar by adding his own brand of creativity. David also develops and trains the Boot Camp trainers to make them best of class. His previous life experience with the Dallas Fire Department gives him a deep empathy for those that are hurting and facing life-threatening challenges. David brings unmatched rigor to each Boot Camp to ensure that everyone who attends gets the best possible chance of healing, hope and a greatly improved life.

David and his wife Lisa share a blended family consisting of 1 daughter and 2 sons which are their greatest joy.

Dana Hamman

Dana Hamman

Dana Hamman is an accomplished Life Coach whose passion is working with individuals, couples, teens and families to bring them to their full potential and to improve relationships. Dana was an integral part of the team that launched the Life Enrichment and Marriage Boot Camps in 2002.

After 10 years of Management in the Software Industry, she began Foundation Coaching in 2001, which provides Personal Coaching, Sales Training, Executive Coaching and Business Consulting. Dana also speaks to corporations, women's organizations, and teen groups where she applies common sense and humor to the issues that are relevant to each audience.

Jeani Poe

Jeani Poe is a dynamic and gifted woman who combines her years in the corporate world with her personal life experiences and abilities as a life coach to equip others to live successful and fulfilling lives. Whether an individual is interested in moving to the next level professionally or in developing healthy and satisfying personal relationships, Jeani is a discerning and effective life coach.

Jeani rose to the top of her profession as an Administrative Associate in the office of the President of the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. During her service there, Jeani designed a professional life coaching module for support staff in a office setting.

In 1999 Jeani began directing The Road Adventure Houston, an affiliate of The Road Adventure Seminar. In 2001 along with her husband Cliff, Jeani founded and developed The Dimensional Journey Life Enrichment Seminars and the Dimensional Journey Life Coaching Institute, both based in Houston.

She holds memberships in the American Association of Christian Counselors and the International Association of Life Coaches. In addition to her directorial role, Jeani coaches individuals and couples through the Dimensional Journey Life Coaching Institute.

In her personal life, she is a talented vocalist and enjoys music, theatre, healthy gourmet cooking and exercise. She and Cliff have been married for over 30 years and have a son and a daughter, both of whom are married.

Todd Hicks

Todd Hicks - Director, Business Man

Todd Hicks is a passionate and enthusiastic entrepreneur, businessman and leader. Todd has a real desire to mentor and have a positive effect on as many lives as possible.

"I feel as though my personal legacy is to impact others and to help change the outcome of their lives and generations to come in a positive way." He is a moderator and mentor to a select group of entrepreneurs and business owners, known as "The Mountain Movers." He has dedicated his efforts to help others achieve their dreams and finding their full potential and purpose in life.

As Directors of the Atlanta Marriage Boot Camp, Todd and his wife, Teresa, have a real burning desire to see lives transformed and marriages healed.

Todd and Teresa have lived life forward and have experienced much pain and heartbreak, only to learn how to overcome obstacles, moving forward and achieving their full potential and living out their legacy.

In his professional life he is the founder of multiple corporations. He is recognized as an established and trusted financial advisor and known as "The Retirement Coach" to a large base of retirees in metro Atlanta. Todd is the founder of Allegiance Retirement Solutions.

His personal Time is spent enjoying nature whether it be fly fishing, bow hunting, horseback and Harley riding or studying martial arts. A real passion is spending time with friends and family at their cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia.

Art Stone - Associate Director and Trainer

Art has been an active part of the Boot Camp family for more than seven years. After attending the Seminar, he became convinced that he could be a positive influence in the lives of others, who were hurting in their current relationship, discouraged or burdened by their past failures, or fearful about the future. Boot Camp provides the venue to help change lives, improve relationships, expand communication skills, and develop a more positive outlook. Art facilitates a small group in the Life Enrichment evening program, and during our Marriage Enrichment daytime couples program, he assists with directing games and drills.

Over the years, Art has sought out and found many outlets for his willingness, desire, and commitment to help others build a better life for themselves. In addition to his Boot Camp related activities, he is an active volunteer with such organizations as: The Plano Kiwanis Club; Pre-Marital Couples Coaching at his church; Plano C.I.T.Y. House Youth Shelter; Foundation Coaching as a follow-up to Boot Camp; Chapels of Hope Prison Ministry; The Experiential Divorce Recovery Workshop; The American Red Cross; The Christmas Store for low income families; the Prestonwood Rehabilitation Center; and others. Art is a native Texan, married, and a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin.

Cliff Poe - Director

Cliff Poe is a skilled communicator and effective life and relationship coach. Currently he is a corporate consultant for employee training and development and has designed corporate mentoring programs as well as new employee orientation and onboarding approaches for recently hired employees.

Designing customized classes for his corporate clients; needs is his specialty. In addition, he provides one-on-one coaching for corporate executives and employees in both professional and personal issues as requested.

Cliff has a B.A. in Bible and Psychology and holds a Masters Degree in Theology and Pastoral Counseling. He successfully pastored churches in California and Texas for 25 years prior to becoming a coach and consultant.

Married for over 30 years, he and his wife, Jeani, provide relationship coaching for couples and relationship-readiness coaching for individuals. Having led seminars for over 10 years, they presently direct the Marriage Boot Camps and Life Enrichment Boot Camps in Houston, Texas.
